Attorney Alison Krueger has focused her practice on family law cases since graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1999. Having litigated family law matters throughout the State of Wisconsin, Attorney Krueger represents clients in divorce, legal separation, annulment, paternity, child support, maintenance (alimony), grandparent visitation, post-judgment and other family law matters. Attorney Krueger is also a certified divorce mediator and assists parties in mediated divorce cases and providing evaluative mediation in family law cases.
Attorney Krueger received a bachelor of science degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse studying psychology and mass communications. Committed to issues involving child victims of domestic abuse, Attorney Krueger interned as a child advocate at New Horizon's Shelter for Battered Women and Children. After studying and interning as a law clerk in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she received the Bank of Scotland Award for Excellence, Attorney Krueger attended the University of Wisconsin Law School and studied law in Cambridge, England. Attorney Krueger lobbied for health care reform and patient privacy with the Center for Public Representation in Madison, Wisconsin before receiving her juris doctor in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Attorney Krueger emphasizes a cooperative approach to all family law matters and works closely with clients, opposing attorneys, and related professionals to effectively represent her client's interests and best achieve their goals be it through negotiation or litigation. By focusing her practice on family law matters, Attorney Krueger believes that she is most successful at staying current with the law and legal trends to protect her clients and provide excellent legal representation. As an experienced litigator, Attorney Krueger is a strong and effective advocate for her clients in court.
Attorney Krueger has been recognized by the University of Wisconsin Law School for outstanding service and the National Association of Women Lawyers as outstanding graduating woman law student. She has also been selected as a Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2006-2013, and the Wisconsin Super Lawyers from 2015-2023, and Top 25 Women Attorneys in 2018 and 2023. She and her colleagues were also named Milwaukee's Top Family Lawyers in M Magazine for 2014-2023. Attorney Krueger has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in Family Law and Family Law Mediation in 2018 - 2024, and named "Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers® in Family Law, Milwaukee in 2021 and 2024.
